What the clients would ask you: Practical tips in management of adult clients with hearing loss

Hearing loss has negative consequences for the person with the hearing loss and for those around them. Adults with hearing loss would like to become more effective communicators, and to have strategies to cope better with everyday life. Many of them would want a rehabilitation option in addition to, or other than, hearing aids. Improved communication does make a positive difference to the lives of people with hearing loss.

Learning Objective:

    • to introduce concepts and terminologies to professionals for understanding of recent hearing device technology
    • to facilitate professionals to respond to their patients' queries regarding hearing aid fitting
    • to equip professionals with strategies to help their patients with hearing loss to become effective communicators and cope better in everyday life
