Establishment

Speech and Hearing Social Enterprise Limited (SHSE) was established by Professor Kathy Lee and her team, funded by Sustainable Knowledge Transfer Project Fund (S-KPF) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). SHSE provides training workshops, seminars and research project consultations for speech therapists, audiologists as well as other related professionals. We also organize various educational talk to increase public awareness of communication disorders, and thus to achieve social inclusion.

Naming of SHSE

Our name "Speech and Hearing" represents the composition of our team, which mainly consists of speech therapists and audiologist. We apply our expertise in speech therapy and audiology to provide various communication related services and solutions for the social well-being.

Logo of SHSE

Our logo is a humanoid logo formed by the English characters S (representing "speech") and H (representing "hearing"). It symbolizes "Cares for People" which is one of our core values. We provide professional training opportunities to enhance the skills of related professionals, thereby benefiting the community with communication disorders.
